Praeses provides comprehensive, independent, and objective services for its clients, resulting in both improved revenue generation and inmate calling service.

A Private Correctional Facility had a slight decrease in their generated revenues which impacted their monthly commissions. Praeses identified call rating and billing discrepancies which affected a significant number of their completed calls. We worked with their inmate telephone provider to ensure accurate rates were applied to all calls, and on behalf of the customer, obtained the earned but unpaid commissions due. The Correctional Facility realized a true-up equal to 2 ½ months of commissions and an ongoing 5% increase in commissions.

A County Facility stated there were no problems with their revenue or commission. Praeses conducted a historical analysis and identified a significant amount of revenue and commission not reported to the County. We worked with their inmate telephone provider to obtain the earned but unpaid commissions due and implemented processes to ensure accuracy going forward. The County realized a true-up equal to 3 months of commissions and a 29% increase in ongoing commissions.

A State Department of Corrections wanted to reduce their calling rates by 40% to comply with a goal they had set for themselves to reduce costs for the public. Our involvement in this process assisted the customer in reducing the impact to their monthly commissions. Praeses implemented additional processes and procedures which lessened the impact of the reduced rates while implementing additional calling options to generate new revenue with no administrative burden for
the State.

We always meet the needs of our clients, although not all improvements mean an increase in commissions.
