Frank M. Auer

General Manager

Frank M. Auer is a founder of Praeses. As CEO, he leads the company’s executive team and is actively involved in the development and implementation of corporate strategy. Prior to founding Praeses, Frank practiced law in Shreveport, leading his firm in growth from two attorneys to ten over a ten-year span. He was an officer in the Shreveport Bar Association. Frank founded Praeses with a former client in 1987.

Frank holds a JD from Louisiana State University, an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, and an undergraduate degree in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana Tech University. 

Matt King

Director, Correctional Services

Matt King is Director of Correctional Services. He oversees all operational division activities and employees—providing services to nearly 300 correctional facilities across the USA, including multiple state-level departments of correction, county sheriff’s offices, and private and regional jails. Matt is responsible for developing programs that enable Praeses to track all activities associated with inmate communications, commissary, food service and ancillary services and to identify and collect earned but unpaid commissions or identify cost savings for clients. Matt began his career at Praeses as a National Account Manager and has advanced to his current position as Director.

Matt holds a BA in Business Administration from Mississippi State University.

Steven D’Anna

Director, Operations and Engineering

Steven D’Anna is Director of Operations and Engineering. He manages the software development staff within Praeses for both internal and external efforts across all industries served.  Steven began his career at Praeses as a Developer Intern and has advanced to his current position as Director. He has worked in all aspects of the software development lifecycle from support to development, project management, testing, deployment, ongoing operations and team leadership.  He is interested in how best to introduce technology and process re-engineering to reduce costs and increase efficiency.

Steven holds a BS in Computer Science from Louisiana State University – Shreveport.

J.D. Hunsicker

V.P. of Business Development for the Government Programs Division

J.D. Hunsicker is a highly experienced U.S. Air Force veteran, having served 32 years on active duty and as a govt civilian in various leadership roles. He is the Vice President of Praeses’ Government Programs where he plays a key role in leveraging our existing technical success to dramatically increase the company’s footprint in various government sectors. In his impressive govt experience, J.D. has worked with many high-profile systems, including the B-21 bomber, Sentinel Inter-continental ballistic missile and Long Range Stand-Off nuclear cruise missile. J.D. has received several major awards, decorations, and certifications, which make him the best choice to help Praeses with software solutions procurement, planning, and deployment with both existing and future government organizations.
