What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?
Applications may collect certain information automatically when you download the Application (“Automatically Collected Information”), including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile devices unique device ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browsers you use, and information about the way you use the Application, including, but also not limited to, the amount of time spent within the scope of any of the Applications, the usage-count for all features provided by the Applications, navigation information within the structure of any of the Applications and error messages created by the Applications.
User Provided Information
Some Applications require that you register with us in order to be able to use the basic features of the Application. These Applications obtain the information you provide when you download and register the Applications (“User Provided Information”).
When you register with us and use the Application, you generally provide the following User Provided Information: (a) your name, email address, and other registration information; (b) transaction-related information, such as when you make purchases, respond to any offers, or download or use applications from us; (c) information you provide us when you contact us for help; (d) credit card information for purchase and use of the Application, and; (e) information you enter into our system when using the Application, such as contact information, text messages, image files, and audio files.
We may also use User Provided Information to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices and marketing promotions.
Applications do not collect GPS information
Applications governed by this policy may collect location information. However, this information is only inferred from the data traffic that flows through the app and not by any kind of GPS technology. Therefore, location information collected by Applications are more imprecise. Location data is only used to create segmentation from all the data collected.
Third parties may have access to the data collected by Applications
Praeses may share your information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this Policy.
We may disclose Automatically Collected Information:
as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
with our trusted services providers who work on our behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.
Additionally, we may disclose Automatically Collected Information with our clients, who similarly do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.
We may also disclose User Provided Information to the Praeses customer who licensed a Praeses owned product that includes an Application that requires User Provided Information.
We also inform that Applications governed by this Policy currently make use of the services provided by Apple, Google, Microsoft, RayGun, Sendgrid, Twitter, and Facebook (“Service Providers”) and are subject to their privacy policies as well; and
if Praeses, LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Web site of any change in ownership or uses of this information, as well as any choices you may have regarding this information.
You have control over the collection of data
You can stop all collection of information by uninstalling the Applications. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.
Data Retention Policy
We will retain Automatically Collected information for up to 24 months and thereafter may store it in aggregate. We will retain User Provided Information for a period determined by the Praeses customer who licensed the Praeses owned product that includes an Application that requires User Provided Information, but in no case longer than reasonably required.
We do not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.
The security of your information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. For example, we limit access to this information to authorized employees and contractors who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our Applications. Additionally, our security measures rely on security measures provided by external Services Providers, therefore we cannot guarantee a level of security higher than those Service Providers, and advise you to check their privacy policies.
